Ir Cheng is the Managing Director of Dunwell Enviro-Tech (Holdings) Ltd., he graduated from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, U.S.A. Department of Industrial Engineering and has been engaged in the environmental protection industry since 1993 with areas of business ranging from the collection and recycling of spent oil, blending and marketing of lubricating oil products, design and installation of advanced vibrating membrane systems and other waste water treatment systems, to the provision of used oil analysis service.

 

Ir Cheng is the Managing Director of Dunwell Enviro-Tech (Holdings) Ltd., Deputy Chairman of the Federation of Hong Kong Industries, Founding President of Hong Kong Environmental Industry Association, Council Member of HK Trade Development Council, HK Productivity Council and Vocational Training Council, Board member of Business Environment Council, Deputy Chairman of HK Green Strategy Alliance Member , Registered Professional Engineer, Fellow of HK Institution of Engineers.  Ir Cheng was the Past Chairman of HK Waste Management Association, Member of HK Central Policy Unit Panel on the Pan-Pearl Driver Delta, Chairman of Board at Friends of the Earth (HK) from 2000 to 2004.

 

For HKSAR Government, he is also serving as member of the Energy Advisory Committee,  Trade and Industry Advisory Board, Innovation and Technology Fund, Advisory Committee on Water Resources and Quality of Water Supplies, Economic Development Commission (Working Group on Manufacturing Industries, Innovative Technology, and Cultural and Creative Industries).

 

Ir Cheng is pioneer in the field of environmental since 1993, he led Dunwell to develop advanced technologies and received many local and overseas awards in the past years.  In Feb 2014, Ir Cheng was inducted into the "Hall of Fame" by the California Polytechnic University-Pomona, as the first Asian Inductee in the 75th Anniversary, where he received his Industrial Engineering Degree in 1981.  He also received the Justice of the Peace (JP) Honour in 2011 and the Medal of Honour in 2007 from HKSAR Government. He was selected as winner of Hong Kong Ten Outstanding Industrial Engineers Award in 1999, Innovative Entrepreneur of 1996, The Young Industrialist Awards of Hong Kong 1995.
